I sent my Superchip to Steve Tatro and he verified that it works fine on his car so that leaves something weird in my car.

Everything runs GREAT with the chip out but when it's installed and I let off of the gas in 2nd gear, there is a point in the accelerator's travel that causes my car to bog down as if I were to completely let up on the gas and engine braking starts. It seems to be the same RPM range and the same area of the accelerator so I don't know what to start diagnosing. Every range of acceleration is great except that one area of the throttle and only when the chip is in.

Is it possible that I have a bad TPS? It was supposed to have been replaced when the transmission was rebuilt but I'm not sure. This seems to be a problem that is only appearent when the chip is in but the chip seems fine.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated... I'm considering buying a TPS but money is tight and I'd rather not buy one if I didn't need to.

Napa has these TPS sensors:

Item#: MPF319087 Price: $ 19.99

Item#: CRB219075 Price: $ 24.99
w/ OEM # E9TZ-9B989-B

Item#: CRB219087 Price: $ 28.99
w/ OEM # E7DZ-9B989-A

Which one would be correct for my car?

i just got the same chip for my car and it made it do some funky stuff. the car would accelerate and engine break completely on its own thats one **** of a scary ride when the car drives itself. it shot black smoke also out the back

took it out and car runs better but not 100%

maybe i need a tps also

The TPS for the SHO is the Wells TPS215 from AutoZone.com for $18.99.
