My wife has a 2018 edge Ecoboost with the TPMS display for each individual tire. The Taurus only has a dummy light. Digging down a hole I found that there are 2 types of TPMS sensors.
A low-line TPMS and a high-line TPMS. The low-line will only send information to the cluster in the form of the dummy light. The highline will send the information to the cluster and display each individual tire pressure on the left hand side of the dash. It has been difficult trying to find the correct sensors to see if this would actually work. Does anyone have the correct OEM number for the two different sensors?
Or is this is something that isn't even worth it?

These will display the PSI per tire. No idea if they'll work in a Taurus for what I think you want to do. I just installed 4 of these in the wife's Explorer and programmed them as most of hers went out at the same time and I didn't want to pay a shop $80/tire.

If you decide to try to make them work, you'll need this or something similar to program / learn the sensors. I used this model and it worked fine.

Has nothing to do with the sensors. The display simply doesn't have the ability to show individual tires. You can use an app, like Torque Pro, to show individual pressures.
yet we have the ability to "monitor" power to the front or rear wheels. my wifes old cobalt was 5 years older than my sho with manual locks and windows and it told you the psi at each tire. be nice if someone figured out a way to update the dash to be able to do it.

You can swap the stereo for Android and add a TPMS module.

That was my understanding after looking into it. Now, with that said is there a cluster that would fit, that has the capability? Or an aftermarket cluster?

I really don't know. Many people just get a small tablet running through the OBD port and use an app. I've never cared enough to do that myself.

If you don't care about factory integration, just search on Amazon. I.e. - Tire Pressure Monitoring System Wireless Solar TPMS, Tire Pressure Monitor Installed on Windowshield with 4 External Sensors Real-time Display Temperature Pressure 22-87 PSI for Car RV SUV MPV Sedan https://a.co/d/2mtRDXX

Or you could get a tablet for $40, Torque Pro for $5 and a bluetooth OBD Link for ~$90 and be able to monitor everything.

Thought about finding a hard wire version and integrating it into the gauge pods im making, small display north of the infotainment screen with room for gauges above, be a nice way to get TMPS but the only ones I keep finding are solar

That one said it had a charge port as well. I'm sure others do as well. For what you're doing, you'd probably want something with hard wired cable so it doesn't come loose once you've mounted it.

The BCM reads the individual tire pressures. If you have FORScan Lite you can read the PIDS. The ICP is not capable of displaying individual tire pressures.
