So, quick question that IDK if anyone here can answer.

But I was wondering if anyone knew how to turn off the touch screen display.

At night I can turn off all my dash lights except the touchscreen which is INCREDIBLY bright and basically lights up my entire interior.

I already have "Police mode" enabled in my car, which allows all my interior lights to stay off when opening and closing my doors, but the touch screen is still too bright.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

On my 2010, there's a manual display button to the right of the head unit, that allows the user to toggle through the displays in that one can get full screen, partial screen (2/3rds screen is blacked out & only 1/3rd at bottom displays minimal info, and the last option being for the screen to be totally blacked out, by each subsequent depression of said button/tab.

yeah, I don't believe I have that. Mine is a 2014. I'll double check though, it would be extremely useful.

Subscribed - it's definitely annoying. When you say "police mode" - does that make it so the lights NEVER come on when you open the doors? Or is there some way to do it on demand? I'm assuming you did it with Forscan? (already did the two-beep eliminate and AWD display on mine)

I went to the dealership and asked them to enable it for me.

My interior lights will never come back on when opening the door, only when I manually turn them on do they come on now.

Also, when the car turns off, only my front doors unlock automatically.

My running lights are also disabled when opening the doors as well.

Crappy cell phone pics, but here you go.

The 2013's and up, may very well likely have this same feature hidden somewhere in the menu/sub-menu sections of their newer digital instrument panels, in comparison to the '10-'12's.

If that's the case, hopefully someone chimes in for you. Good luck!

In that top pic, it's the 'DISP' button just above 'SOUND'.

Not sure if you ever figured this out (from a month ago!) but I ended up on the touch screen under settings. I think there is an option for "Display" ... and you can select "Day" "Night" or "Off". I think if you click off, it will shut down the dispay.

Well professionally yes... I am glad I did it. I have most of my family down in Georgia, so that kinda was (and is) hard. And I gave up like 250 sunny days for maybe 75 per year. For a sunny beach bum that stings a little :p I give Michigan some credit, I checked out two Great Lakes this year and wow, I was super impressed. Feels like the ocean, looks like the ocean.... but no salt (a little cold though!)
