torque converter lock up

My 93 atx is locking the torque converter at slow speeds in overdrive.This causes some drivability problems.I have done some research here and see the vss maybe the culprit.If I touch the brake lightly the converter will unlock as it should.Is there a way to wire a togle switch into this brake switch so I can controll it?Lookingfor a cheap fix.Jim

just a bit of a bitch to get at...

How do you get at it with the tranny in place? I really shoulda replaced mine when the tranny was out for 4 months.

If you do a search you'll find people describe ways to replace the VSS from the top, from the bottom, and from the passenger side wheel well.
