Top speed

I've been asked more than once how fast have I had my car. I could only tell them 140mph in 4th gear on the dyno. After getting a speeding ticket and others for 127 in a 35mph zone in my 93' SHO (there's more to the story) Iv'e never had the guts to do it again.

How fast do our cars go?? What's the top speed anyone has done in these monsters?

I read they are governed at 147 MPH. The real question is, after that has been tuned out, how fast is your top speed.

I live in Germany and have the great opportunity to drive on the autobahn. I have taken many long drives where I can set the cruise control on 110 or 120,while it's fun...the gas mileage takes a big hit.
The fastest I've had mine is 154...shown by an extra gps I had in the car.

Do you have Torque Pro or Forscan, ruhurt? Would be interesting to see if they pick up on actual speed, and to see how the fluids, O2s, etc. behave at the outer limits.

I don't have either one, but am looking to get Torque Pro. Once I get it loaded and can get some data, I will post it.

You can leave us hanging like that. Farthest over I've been was 85 in a 40, but that was to get out of a group of douche bag bikers.
