So I'm also looking at some new tires, I just ordered a 2014 SHO w/ PP and I'm researching what my costs will be for winter wheels and tires.

One question I have for everyone that has done this, what did you do with the tpms? Did you just not run it? do you buy the replacement ones and a tool to reprogram?

2013/PP, I bought a set of tires for my summer rims (keeping OEM for winter) and the TPMS with them (I hate warning lights). My mechanic swapped them with his tool, and when I switched back, it recognized the tires without difficulty.

So how were those Coopers? I ran them on my G8 gt FBO car and I could floor it in the rain, stuck like glue in dry and would get the rear wheel drive car home in the snow. I really want the new zeon G1s.....

Put a set of the Zeon RS3-G1s on the SHO about 1000 miles ago an really like them, Replaced a 60k worn out set of Michelin Primacy's that were a good tire. The Coopers so far are quiet, stick like glue in the rain or dry and look good. Time will tell how they wear but so far I really like them.

For the $164 a tire + $100 rebate at Walmart you really can't go wrong.

FYI - Discount Tire on eBay is having $100 off if you spend $400 or more. You can do a purchase 2 for $400+ and get $100 off and then repeat (so a $200 savings on 4 tires). I’m going to the Discount Tire store tomorrow to see if they’ll match that deal and then I’m getting Continental DWS06 tires. I was going to get the new General Gmax AS-05 that recently came out, but the deal on the Conti’s are too good to pass up.

Just went through the checkout process to see the price but did not purchase.
2x 255/45/20 continental dws-06
$335.17 shipped to Ohio.
That's a smoking deal.

Doing the exact for myself with the only option to confirm and pay, it’s $304 even. Either way, it’s a steal and I’m glad I waited a week!

Be sure to post up what wheels you get!

Stopped at Discount Tire this morning and they are honoring the eBay deal I mention above. So that means I’m saving $200 buying 4 tires and total price is $608 before install. Have an 8:30am appointment tomorrow since they didn’t have 255/45/20’s in stock.

I'll have to call them as there isn't one close to me. If they will take $200 off wheels and $200 off a set of tires I don't think I can pass that up.

My 2015 PP was delivered with GY F1 as I knew it would be. I changed those off prior to delivery for DWS06. I don't know where all of you live, but here in the Northwest dedicated summer tires are worthless. The DWS06 were a fine tire, unfortunately they were damaged beyond repair in an incident at the PDX parking garage some months ago. There were none available for immediate replacement, so I had to go to Michelin Pilot Sport ASIII. No regrets, great 3 season tire. I now run Nokia Hakkapolita R2 in the winter. Great winter tires, with the AWD the car will climb mountains......almost.

No Discount Tire near me. They will not honor the ebay deal over the phone, I was quoted with a $75 rebate for 4 wheels and $50 rebate on 4 tires. Not a bad price but not sure I want to spend the money. I'll have to go through the ebay store and see if the wheels I want are there and what I can piece together. Otherwise I will prob just get tires locally.

The Pilot AS3+ is better in the snow than the DWS06s and don't seem to give up anything in the dry. I've been happy with Michelins in the past so that's what I plan on going with, we do get snow by me but not typically enough to warrant a dedicated snow tire.

Wow different cars react so different. Of all the tires I burned through in 140,000 miles in my G8 FBO, the Michelin pilot AS3+ where the worse! Was like driving on bald tires in the rain all the time. The Cooper Zeon A/S and General GMAX were great. The GMAX sucked in the snow. Zeon would get you home, was best rain tire since the Firestone SZ500. The Zeon also seem to last forever. The conti DWS06 I always heard great things about across lines of different cars and all like them.

With the $200 savings and $30 credit for two tires of mine that were still good, $650 all said and done!

To those curious, the Contientals run wider than you’d expect. Both tires are 255’s, but as you can tell the Contientals are wider than my Sumitomo’s. After 100 miles today, I’m loving them. Quieter, car feels more nimble and the ride is even smoother. They have a little shake around 60, so I’m going back for a rebalance. I have no doubt these will out perform the Sumitomo’s and I honestly didn’t mind them.

Yes smoking deal hopefully still active
I saw they matched the deal, where do you go on eBay to provide proof of this deal?

Yeah my discount tire gave me 184 off and didn't give me anything for my 4/32 and 5/32 tires, still a good deal. But not as good as yours my price without installation was like 704
