I've had both Ecsta 712s and BFG KDW tires on my Contour SVT. There isn't much of a comparison -- the Ecstas are truly junk compared to the higher-quality BFG tires. I'd put the RE750s in the same league as the BFGs, although I haven't got side-by-side experience (I had 730s on the SHO for awhile, but haven't ever run KDW tires on it). If you want a budget tire then the Yoko ES100 is a better choice than the Kumhos.

I'm just hoping the Ecstas will wear down quickly burnout because now that the coilovers are on the SHO it isn't going to get much street time and the Contour just isn't as much fun to drive as it was with the factory (KDW) tires.

Nobody's mentioned Dunlop yet. I've been running sp sport 5000's for a while and think they're a decent all around tire. They don't seem to last more than a year, but that's with me driving. Not cheap, but not extremely expensive. I hear the sp sport 9000's are 4,000 times better.
