stock size is 215/60 16's.

225/55s will also fit.

225/60s are too tall and will hit the spring perch most likely. They will also hurt performance.

235/60... No way. Above problems x2.

Stock 91 wheels are only 6" wide, so that also really limits how much tire you can put on. If you are looking to run more rubber than stock, invest in a set of at least 7" wide wheels.

i was running 225/55/16. now running 215/55/16. 235/55/16 is the actual match for tire circumference/diameter. it might fit on the rear, with a little coercing.

There is a set of 225/60s on the rear of my '92. If I hit any bumps with people in the back seat, they rub.

I'm content with 225x55x16 with the slicers on my gen II. I've never experienced rub. THe larger than stock paws definately help some with cornering and traction. They add some rotating mass but I think it's a good tradeoff.
