tire size vs. rim

Quick question, I just inherited 4 goodyear eagles with only about 5k on them.

size : 225 x 60 x 16

will they fit on the stock slicers?

Yes they will. They will be a little bit taller than the stock 215/60/16, but they will fit. Alot of people run 225/55/16, which is what I have on my car. They're about the same height as the stock tires.

You mean wider?

Just watch out for the rear struts, that may rub on occasion.

225/60/16 will be taller and wider than the stock 215/60/16. I believe some people have reported rubbing on the spring perch with that size tire.

They'll be about 3/5ths of an inch taller than stock.

Your acceleration will be slightly slower with taller tires.

Your speedometer will read 1.8% slower than you are actually going.

(Example: If your speedometer says you're going 60 you'll actually be going 61.1mph)

They'll fit the wheels fine though.
