Guys, I just had a simple question. Most SHO owners (including myself) mount 225 60 16 on stock slicers which originally came with 215 series. The tire pressure decal calls for 34 psi on the 215's, is there a pressure difference on the 225's? i currently inflate to 34 psi on the 225's anyway. Just curious as to what you guys inflate your tires to. Thanks

Its all about what kind of tire you have and what you prefer. I inflate 36psi all around on the street. Then about 50 in the rear and 30 in the front on the strip.

I think the only people that worry about a few PSI are the OCD ones and the track/strip guys. I ran 35 psi +/- 2 psi for street driving and never noticed any wierd tire wear. I run 40 psi +/- 2 psi in my DD for moar gas mileage, still no abnormal wear.

They do? Some people might go to 225/55/16s.

I think my stickers say that the stock tires should be 35 psi cold. I can't say for sure, but that pressure is probably fine for most tire sizes on the street.

I keep a close eye on the ware of the tire and adjust pressure according to what kind of ware I see. I am usually around 40 to keep it even, but every car has different tires and alignments.

it definitely depends on the specific tires and how you drive.

I typically keep between 35 and 40 in the front (depending on the tires) but that is way too much for the rears. on the rear, between 28 and 32 usually works best for me.

you need to balance the wear in the center of the tire v. the edges. more pressure wears the center faster, less pressure wears the edges faster.
