You can buy a Ford warranty (ESP) from brokers online (cheaper) that is the actual Ford product. You would have to get a Ford service department to do an inspection and then send that in to qualify. Same as if you bought it used already out of warranty at a Ford dealer. There are topics and recommendations listed here and on the ecoboost forum regarding that. I would not normally do it but on this model it might actually pay off. There are different levels of coverage and price etc.

I got their top plan - Premium Care Plus which covers almost everything for 5 year 60k miles with no deductible. 1350 U.S. (1800 CDN).
