My old timing idler came literally apart (idler not tensioner) . Got used one from a junk yard, I put the old bolt though it, screw it back in and the sucker wont move.

am I missing something?

This is what exactly happened to the old idler after a month when I bought the car.

Right now the car is undergoing complete 60K so I need to figure this out ASAP.

I don't think so. It's weird. Maybe I dropped it. Have to look for it tomorrow. All I had today was the pulley and the bolt. When I torqued the idler it went against the plate and it wont move. So I am sure that something is missing...

Never mind. The bearing is shot in the used idler. It came off of 93 with 120K miles and this thing is barley spinning if you use a lot of force.

60K turned out to be an expensive party... off to SHOsource :p
