anyone?
I have to put everything back together so I can get to work tomorrow... I don't want to waste money on ordering a new tensioner if that is not my problem... shrug

There is no engine oil pressure involved with the timing chain tensioners. The tensioners are self contained, spring loaded devices that place the chain in a slight tension from the slack side. There may be a small amount of play is you wiggle the chain with your fingers, but there shouldn't be more than about 1-3mm on the longest span.

netviper, I must admit that the valve train in the picture you posted looks very clean. I must also say that there is a significant amount of cam lobe wear visible on the #5 exhaust and #6 intake camshafts. Did you inspect the valve train before you added the Auto Rx treatment? I wonder how much if the advanced wear on you 73,000 mile engine is due to the oil history and how much is due to the non-lubricating solvents in the Auto Rx.
