My 95 SHO has a steady ticking sound when I turn on my fan speed on/up. It does seem to go away after I play with the fan speed. Fan speed works fine as well as blows cold and hot no problems. Does anyone know what might be causing the sound?

Could you post a video or audio clip of the sound to see if others have encountered the same issue

not a leaf, it has a same repetitive sound when it ticks. I am wondering if it could be the blower motor resistor or something to do with the blend door. The sound is more noticeable under the glove compartment. Was just wondering if anyone has heard of this before and if there was something common to fix. I'll see if I can make a clip.

in some cases, a bad blend door actuator will make a "tick" noise, maybe that is it.

To do this work, does it require the dash to be taken out? Also, I have a parts car which I can rob from. Is there a guide on how to remove the dash?

Pretty sure although I have heard of people doing it with the dash still in or halfway undone. I can't access the links in other threads to look at what was posted when I used the search function.

Thanks for the links. I'll run the diagnostic test first and see if an error code appears.
