ticking noise and hesitation

just a few days ago I noticed a ticking noise from passenger side of engine and am now experiencing a lack of power..not at full throttle(not going to try it) but just medium....
any thoughts...ideas...???

turned out to be crank cancer!
I am not sure of outcome at this time but the shop thinkd they can repair with another pulley and key.
I am waiting for it to arrive now.
really bummed out at this minute..had so many restoration plans.

This seems to be a less than rare issue these days. Maybe part of an oil change should be checking the torque on the damper...

i got a look at old pulle.
y and key today when i delevered new one.
half of the gear pulley key was worn out and the gear was wallowed out about the same...
but crank was ok.
maybe i got lucky....
we will see
If you have a gen 1
PLEASE get this checked out!
by the way,mine has WAY over 200,000 miles

It's not gen 1 or 2-specific.

It's entirely caused by failing to properly install and torque the crank pulley bolt.
