I have a slight ticking noise coming from the front of the engine. I was just wondering what could be a possible cause of this, maybe a worn out timing tensioner? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

it could be anything from a noisy fuel injector to a bad crank pulley key (crank cancer) to a rod bearing or a loose valve.

you need to narrow it down some in terms of where it originates - use a stethoscope or long screwdriver to try to nail it down.

The first thing to do is run the engine with the accessory belt(s) off. This will tell you if it is an accessory (alt, idler, etc...) or not. Don't run it long, as you will have no working water pump.

So i realized that my noise was from a loose crank pulley bolt, i could literally move it with my fingers, so i took it out blue threadlocked it and impacted it back and and thus the noise is gone, thank goodness

Good thing you noticed that before crank cancer happened. You may want to go through and check all the bolts on the front of the engine in case any others are loose
