Had my TB sent out to Maxbore to get bored out to 68mm. He also shaved the butterfly shaft and installed flush mount bolts to decrease flow restriction. I was his first SHO so it was $150. But, after his first one of a specific model, it cost $125. The shaft work is another $35. Honestly pretty reasonable prices. If you're wondering why he bored to 68mm instead of some other number, I believe it is because the manifold is 68mm at the opening. He is a one man shop and asked a good amount before doing the work. Turn around time was 5 days. Here is some side by side pics.

Nice, install Steve’s phenolic intake manifold spacer for the TB to be more useful. Flow chart math for factory intake manifold is correct on stock throttle body opening, once you math in the spacer it comes up to 68.4mm needed for throttle body. Maybe just hone the opening on the intake manifold a bit.

Dont need to go N/A crazy on intake porting though as its a boost engine and not a vacuum flow engine optimally.

I do plan on the spacer but I am confused why no one is talking about how it will change our torque and hp curve. Does our trans need more torque hitting it down low?

I have a specific tune from Brad with low end torque for the streets. And im surprised i haven't broke the tranny yet with how hard it hit lol.
So a couple low end torque mods with your normal tune should be fine. Maybe do a data log just incase

Nice. yeah, stock IM is only 68mm with the stock TB being 65mm. I like your matching. Even though I have the BBK 70mm, I always felt it was too big for the stock manifold, and porting out the stock manifold to 70mm would be difficult since that o-ring gasket sits right at the 70mm mark. Good call!

BTW, getting the hardware together for you, should have it in a few days! Do you still need it?

I'd like to take credit for that call but the guy who runs Maxbore decided on the size ha.

Yes I do

Getting them matched definitely looks sketch when you look at this ported manifold I have here haha.
