Does anyone know what Ford vehicle the three bar map sensor is taken from? I need to get a new sensor because mine has apparently died. Can't go by the factory part because that's only a two and a half bar sensor.
It's the replacement map sensor that is on the intake manifold.

I've been researching since I posted. So it's the same sensor that's on the intercooler to throttle body, on the Sho and Ford truck. So yes that's the right part number or CX2231.
Thanks.

Yes I know where we use it on the intake manifold. But we use a sensor that is originally intended from the intercooler piping. That one is three bar. We replace the intake manifold map sensor which is two and a half bar with a three bar map.
That part number from the Gearhead website translates to the part number you listed. Screenshot 20230428 121636 PhotosScreenshot 20230428 121904 Chrome

I keep reading about people here upgrading their 2-bar MAPs for the 3-bar MAP for the intake. Is this something all SHOs will benefit from (e.g., 2019 SHO PP)? I plan to get the SCT Livewire TS+ and an AO-tune for California gas (91-octane).

It is part of the tuning process. Best bet is to buy a package from GH if you want the AO-tune. It will have the 3-bar, plugs, tuner, and an option for a low temp thermostat (don't ask if you should or shouldn't get the low temp, it is a huge debate and plenty of threads for you to read and make a decision).

Ah, gotcha, TR! I noticed you had a GH tune but then opted for another tuner. Any specific reason why? (PM if you don't wish to share publicly.)

I am on my third tuner. I have used GH AO-Tune (great shifting), Ortiz, and now AJP. i am the happiest with AJP so far. That being said, you need to source everything yourself and then get the tune from him. You also will have to email every couple weeks until he responds. He takes care of existing customers first and it is a side job for him

@studio460 just playing catchup here - in my signature you can find my Tuner and Tuner... LOL I went the path of HPTuners.com

That said you need the following - laptop/Windows - $499 for the Tuner itself - $100 in tuning licensing. Then you pay the tuner themselves.

STAY far away from cheap tuning gimmicks - though talk to me about drive by wire throttle controllers - they work with and without tuners. I have a horror story I posted here about my experiences with a company now owned by Holly. That said good luck - sometimes the real popular tuners (people) are hard to get responses from. The truth is - at least for me - get a tuner willing to look at YOUR cars stock configuration - even if you have performed some bolt-ons like CAI and they should tune for your vehicle. Just my two cents, not everyone can digest the bolt on packages all at once ($$) - understand clearly what they will charge if you need to send logs and tweaks. Set the expectations and tell them what you plan to accomplish as projects so they know.

My 2 cents for what its worth - of course I 100% agree with @Ta2dResqr

So I have a question and didn't want to start a new thread just for it. Do you need a tuner to run the 3 bar MAP or will the factory software "read" it? I hate to drop a $125 on a sensor only to find I need the $600 tuner to make it work.

@kryptto who did you use for your HP tuners tune? I have a mpvi3. Also can you still modify the tune with HP tuners or is it locked? Thanks for any help, just trying to get the wife's SHO to perform a little better.

So I can give you the guys name. To change between HP to SCT or vice versa, you need to go to stock.
