Well, get this, I bought a 95mtx a month or so ago, needed a clutch, and thats about it. Got it back home, had the trans out that night, bought a clutch off ebay, took 3 weeks to get it shipped to me (bs if you ask me). Was listed as 9.75, gets here, im thinking, finaly i can drive this thing in a few hours. Turns out its a dang stamped out 9.25 clutch set. yeah what a deal. Question is, i was searching and seen some people talking about using the 9.25, with the 9.75 pressure plate, with no ill effects, that was just talk though, anybody actualy try this, by all my calculations it should work. The set was a centerforce disc and pp, for 250 shipped. hmm, I knew there was a catch. I just dont was to spend too much more, if I can use the 9.25 disc in there. I just want to drive this thing. thanks

I can't help you on the mixing and matching solution but I am about to start another GB on the SPEC clutches....so far I've had no complaints on about 25 units sold in the past few months.

You can use the disc with a newer style pressure plate. With the smaller disc, the pressure plate will increase clamp load on the disc due to less surface area, which is a good. FWIW, my clutch masters stage 3 has a 9.5" disc.

Just put it back on eBay labled as a "VTEC High Performance Pressure Plate" and you should get your money back!
