I know this topic has been covered allot, but....

I've been noticing that my engine has been barely getting hot to touch as it usually does. Sometimes, it is not even warm. From other post, I thought that it may be a faulty thermostat, so I purchased one on the way. The dashboard temp gauge has still been reading the same; about 1/3 away pass half.

Can this condition be attributed to something else or is it just the thermy?

The temp. gauge is reading 1/3 of the way past half way? Seems completely normal to me. You'd know if you thermostat was stuck open. When mine failed, the temp. gauge wouldn't even get to the "L" in NORMAL. No heat in the winter even after 30 minutes of driving.. That's when you've got a problem! :)

Yeah, I've touch the top front of the manifold?...where it says SHO; even after more than 30 minutes of driving. It normally is very hot to touch, but lately it'll be barely lukewarm to warm. On one time it got hot though but that was it. I should run codes, huh?

Wait til July, that intake will be plenty warm to the touch.

Only way to know for certain if your engine is running at the proper temperature is to measure it. That means the installation of an accurate aftermarket temperature guage or to use a non-contact IR thermometer (Sears, $50).
