I bought a T-stat from Ford, and they gave me a T-stat housing gasket, too. But it is too small, and they will be closed in 45 minutes. (they probably won't have one anyways. So can I just use RTV or silicone gasket maker, for the seal? (housing to block) Or woud that be a bad idea?
Thanks,
Tony

The only gasket required is the O ring that goes around the outer ring of the thermostat.

That's it.

Oh, good. I thought I couldn't remember why there wasn't one from the last time I had the housing off.
