ok i have a question abou tmy thermastat i think it may not work completly so im going to put in a new thermastat and flush the coolant what is the best thermastat to use and what it the proper degree to use and would t hurt to use a higher tempature one

Don't use a higher temp. t-stat. These cars have enough heat to deal with.

just put a new one in my 98, put a 195 in, that what the car came with, or 180 is the other one you can put in.

The general concensus is use the OE Motorcraft stat, they're like 3 times a Stant or other stat you can get at AZ but the QA is purported to be superior. I've used both and am currently using the Motorcraft stat.

ok so where is the best place to get a motorcraft ftat cheap ford want 56 for it i can get a napa for about 14 the ford stat is a 190 can i use a 180 without afecting performance
