Thank you sir, none of them are drilled for EGR so I would guess that the top one is also a 3.0, is there a way to tell for sure? (Polishing and gasket matching so I would like to use these manifolds) Thanks

Alright guys I have an update and a question. I am finished with the porting and polishing and I'm very happy with how it turned out, I have about 7 more valves to lap (seats had a few small pits in them on the intake side of my rear head), then I can assemble my rear head (front is already together). I found some 3.0 cams for cheap so once those get here I can worry about the lash adjustment. Other than that the heads are pretty much done so it's time for me to lay eyes on my shortblock. I am on a budget, so I am looking for the best bang-buck items. So far I'm going for all new lower gaskets, rod bearings (mains are in spec), rings, a fidanza flywheel, a stock clutch with CTOB and maybe a UDP if I have a little money left. I was looking at a crank balance, from what I have read this motor is very well balanced from the factory. I do plan to see the upper RPMs in my daily commute (the on ramps...they are just to much fun...), and maybe track it once or twice a year. I don't need a balance do I? I am all for protecting my motor from damage, but if it's not necessary I would rather save the money for a Y-pipe or something that will make a bit of a butt-dyno difference. Thanks guys

Alright another Q for you experts, I have read in my engine rebuilding book that it's dangerous to reuse rod bearing nuts because they lose their tensile strength after you reuse them. It said that you lose 20% strength just re using it once, and 67% after nine times (I've taken them off quite a few times). Should I be worried?

Anyone know where I can find the pin that goes on the camshaft sprockets? I lost one a while back.

Alright guys, I've gotten my rings filed to a nice semi-consistent gap. It's time for me to buy a lower gasket set and start putting together the timing parts. I just got my waterpump nose in the mail and I need to know what size bolts I need to both mount the nose to the housing, mount the housing to the block and the pulley bolt size? Any help is appreciated! Also does anyone have an exploded view of this motor with every part listed?

This motor came with my car and the hardware was scatted about everywhere and it's lost a bolt or two over the years, so if anyone knew off hand what the bolt sizes were it would save me a ton of effort and uncertainty.

I'm having another issue, I bought a brand new 3.0 tensioner and there isn't enough thread on that bolt to put a nut on it. What do I need to do to get the 3.0 setup to work?:fit:

The stud is different between the two motors. You need a 3.0 stud, as the 3.2 is shorter. It is discontinued through Ford. You will need to get a used one.

I have a couple of PDF manuals that you're welcome to but they a quite large. Not sure how I could get them to you. I don't have an FTP site you could access. If you want me to send you a memory stick just send me a Private Message with your address.

1989 Ford SHO Engine Handbook = 40MB
1992 Ford Service Manual = 370MB
