The first turbo SHO, stock piston'd 3.0, no quaife, full weight, only 320whp (maybe 8-10psi), and on slicers (not sure of tire, or 60'), ran 13.1 @ 107. That is about as good as can be expected for that power and weight. More power only equaled more trap speed, but the car ran quickest in it's least powerful iteration.

It's been done, on different occasions and different cars, but we won't get into that.

As stated it's not a power issue, it's getting it to the ground. I could probably say a sho with the right setup at 10psi, correctly tuned and a 2.0 60ft could hit 12's.

Then do it. Talk is cheap.

My '90 ran easy 12's, 12.7x if I remember. However, I have no idea who owns it or where it is, if it still is.

I was able to squeak in a few 1.8's and resulted in 12.8 @ 106. For being a FWD car, I just remember how surprised I was with how hard this 1.8's 60' put me into my seat. I can't imagine a 1.6 AWD launch...

Yep. I've got a bunch of 1.8xx times in the LGT, which gave me the 13.39 - 13.5x times. Really puts you in the seat, and you also know you've nailed it correctly!

I think the issue is that most boosted SHOs spend too much time broken down in a garage waiting to be rebuilt instead of driven. And not many have a Gen 3 subframe either.

Or boost it brian, jeez. You have all the parts to resurrect sr71.

Im going for it. I have drag radials, big turbo, gen3 subframe, tuning coming soon, quaife coming soon, and most importantly a daily driver.

Mosho- whiteguy3 owns the fastest recorded fwd sho. Ya know the turbo atx? he has all the means to rewrite the records with the additions of the gen3 subframe and progressions in tuning the d4u1. I assure you this year will be exciting.

This is called the cable mod on GTPs. they drill a couple of holes in the body, and the strut body. Jack up the car and run a 1/4" cable thru the holes and clamp it down. Weight can't transfer up. I think coilovers with a street-able spring, but rasied ALL the way up would give you a similiar effect. And the stiffer the spring, the better.

Funny, I made my 96 wheelhop the other night in Chicago. So if I hear anyone else say that a gen 3 subframe wont wheelhop, il punch them in the taint.
