The SHO communicates!!

By means of the damned check engine light shoot I got a code 511 (EEC ROM test failure). Can anyone shed any light on this?

im not positive because i dont remeber but i think that the egr valve is clogged thats what happened to my 95 atx frost sho with 118000 on it. the light would come on about 30 seconds after moving one time and 10, minutes the next it was wierd/

That's usaully the code you get when you have a chip installed (normal code if you have a chip) it should not trigger the CE light though.
Have you done a KOER test?

Yes, code 511 and 172,173 came up. I have since then replaced the rear O2 sensor and the two latter codes went away. Everything checks out, and I got a code 9 on my cylinder balance test! WHOOHOO! I've just never noticed the code 511 before and was just wondering if it was anything to worry about.

Not to worry about the 511. That means that you have a chip installed (A la LPM) and it is not getting the correct responce from your stock computer (A la LPM). That's the 411 about the 511. I get it too with my superchip, but it does not trigger the CE light.
