As some of you know, my SHO was in an accident recently.

But its time to bring her back to life.

Ive got the settlement money and im going to upgrade while im at it.

Ill list what i have planned here.

1. Frame adjustment (straightening) Mucho importante.

2. Subframe connectors

3. New reinforced motor mount (rear)

4. Aluminum subframe bushings.

5. Front brakes. Swaping out the rotors with slotted ones and new PFC pads.

6. Tires (fuzions probably)

Now for my questions.

With the ASFB's ive heard about water getting into them (shotimes) would it be possible to coat that area with rust preventive paint?

Brakes...

oh yes. The rotors i have (yes i need to measure) are slotted. I dont know where they are from ( formerly CALLAAA's rotors)( if you know tell me) but i wanted to know if anyone on here has used the PFC carbon metalic pad.

Im also looking into an engergy suspension kit for the front. Im sure after all this it will acually stop handling like a boat and act a little more sporty.

If you have any insight, opinions ect. Let me know what it is. Im always open for more knowledge

Thanks for any and all info

-Mike

Well I would say use SHOBros for parts.

I would get a reinforced front mount as that is what takes the stress. When the motors torques it is always pulling on the front mount and putting the rear in compression. This is why the fronts always go first.

If you can do it I would upgrade the front brakes to 96.

I would got with Moog bushings for the front. We do carry them.

I would aslo get the strut rod bushing retainer welded. I have it linked on SHOCal to a post here. Very helpful.

As far as the Aluminum subframs you can paint them but they dont "rust" per say and being in CA you should be fine. On my SHO I installed rear Gen3 bushings on my SHO and I really like them. Very good compromise between stock and aluminum.

I dont know if i want to do the 96 upgrade, i can get the cross drilled and slotted baers ...

:hail:

And i can get them from my work at a distount :thumb:

but for free i have the slotted rotors.

The how much do those bushings run? What is in the kit?

I did like the ride in your car, it was very smooth and sporty. I wouldnt mind the more harsh ride, as i am after performance.

How much are they going to cost you? I am guess they are just the rotors which you still need everything else.

The 96 upgrade will be very much worth it unless you want to go to Cobra under Slicer.

For the Gen3? I forget as I got them from Ford, you can get them from SHONut or the dealership.

For the Moogs you just need the strut rod bushings. I would replace the front sway bar bushings as well.
