I was talking with a guy from Australia and he said it would be doable and could get the parts from a J/Y. Not a whole lot of need for a hand brake with an ATX though IMHO.

Now why didn't Ford outfit our cars with a hand brake like this, it would've made the car a little bit more sportier. Wonder if there is a way to convert this to fit our cars?

I expect the handbrake assembly itself and the cables, etc. would bolt into the car, though the console bits might not.

Poor old Ford, spend all that money to tool the car for RHD and then the Aussies wouldnt touch the thing with a ten-foot pole.

Yeah your right that there isn't a whole lot of need for a hand brake with an automatic, you could do some parking lot spins though. I just like the sporty look of it.

ya i dont like how ford put the GEN III brake on the floor. its not a freaking truck its a sedan, the break needs to be on the console near the shifter.

Okay it has "A" cupholder, and who said the picture or the car was new, of course it isn't new, it's a '96 model.
