tank strap bolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well right now i am in progress of replacing my fuel pump. 1 of the tank strap bolts broke, DO you know where i could get another one?

I had the same problem on mine. Just go to the local hardware store and get a regular bolt and nut of similar length and width. It'll work just as good as the factory ones and will be even easier to remove and instal next time.

I got the same setup as stock. The same clip and bolt from a hardware store.

Autozone has these clips & bolts in a fastener display. They can even be had in metrics. thumb

Not that I've ever busted a tank strap bolt or anything... Twice...

Funny topic - I was sure on the fuel pump swap I did yesterday for a guy that I was going to bust one. After a while, I got to the point where I WANTED to bust it, just so I could get it out of there. Then, sure enough, out it came as if to say, "oh, you meant ME... I see..."
