After getting a new pioneer premier and losing the factory cd player i had a hole in the dash where the cd player went. I figured i'd just go find one of those cup/change holders but then i realized that with all the wires hanging down right where that thing would have to go, it wouldn't be able to push back all the way, and i wasn't about to rewire the harness, cause it was too short to move anywhere else. So anyway i took my 1st stock cd player, ( i have 1 other one now) and i took the whole thing apart, cut it down, screwed it together and pretty much fabricated a storage compartment. Its a little ragged around the edges but when your sitting in the car you can hardly notice, and plus, it adds a lot of storage for cd's or whatever. Heres some pics, let me know what ya think

If you got that compartment in there, you could have easily fit in the coin/cup holder. You also could have put in the storage bin.

Doesnt look too bad though. :thumb:

ya i was trying that but because of the wiring harness i used, all of the stereo's wires were hanging down right in the way of the cup/coin holder, and there was not enough slack to get em out of the way. So the thing i made is actually about an inch shorter than the cd player case, because thats what it is, only cut down.
