How can I install a **** switch in my SHO?? I want the car to be unable to start, but still retain other accessory items, like radio and alarm. What is the easiest way to do this, and has anybody done this before?

Well I already put in a **** swtich last night, using the starter interlock switch on the clutch. But, that is definitely an awesome idea. Push-button starter-ish awesome. I wish I would have seen this before I put my switch in. Oh well, hopefully I can find another way to use the cig. lighter 'switch'. Cool idea Slo-Sho, oh and thanks for the taillamp mod info, I love it!! thumb thumbSlo-Sho:
For those of you who don't use the cigarette lighter...You can use this as a switch to interrupt any desired circuit such as the starter signal or fuel pump, etcetera. When you want the car to start, push the lighter in, when you don't want it to be able to start, take the lighter with you. What thief is gonna look for the cigarette lighter while trying to boost your whip?
I've thought about doing that one. I've also considered a switch to turn off all the running lights except for the headlights for stealth mode.NotSoSlowSHO:
I also installed a brake light cut-out switch for those dark lonely highways when you blow past a CHP.... flip the switch, jump on the brakes, and turn! finger They never know that you even tapped the brakes
wink
just like the clutch interlock.K-Dawg:
How'd you go about the brake light ****?
yeah but i think thats the idea hes trying to get at. no one would realize you need the actual lighter to start the car. when you push it in to heat it up your completing a circuit. pushing it in would complete your ignition circuit. when you remove it and toss it in your pocket no one can start the car unless they have another lighter insert. and who the **** would think of that? awesome idea beerRBade:
The only thing you're eliminating is a store-bought switch....which never leaves the car.
You'd only have to go to the trunk to ENABLE it by resetting the inertia switch. To diasable, give the side of the trunk a good whap with your hand! thumbSHOTIME:
I dont think i'd go to the truck to disable the car. but agree it would be hardest to find.
