i got the gen 3 subframe with gen 3 SHO rack.... awesome... car handles and feels totally different... one of the best upgrades ive done.

for mtx tho you have to remove your trans mount off the old subframe to the next one and also the front motot mount needs to be moved and raised some to work.

me and area91 did it in a few hours and we used a mtx engine and trans bolted together with a engine lift.. sat it on the subframe and went from there

On an auto car just as long as you get the subframe from a non SHO the tranny mount and the rear mount locations are the same. AFAIK the front engine mount hole is the only thing you have to modify.

I have a 3rd gen subframe on my '90 and bang for the buck it is a great upgrade. You can usually pick up a used subframe with the other parts you need from a junk yard for around $150 and for an auto car it's nothing more than drilling a hole for the front mount and bolting it up. You get the much better front suspension design and the '96+ brake upgrade all at once.
