Well after driving the car for about a month on 4 or 5 cylinders it seemed, I finally got the work underway. I took the intake off, siliconed the spark plug tube bosses and the corners of the gaskets by the cams. Changed the plugs (with the correct Motorcraft ones, not the Bosch I had in there nono ), checked the wires, changed the thermostat which was broke, literally, and put it all back together. I wasn't sure if that was going to fix it, but the plugs were deteriorated pretty badly. I had a bunch of codes for fuel pump, CPS, and O sensors, too.
But whala!! It started right up, idled perfect, and runs better than it has in a long time.
Will re-run the codes to double check, but for now, I'm pretty happy. 191,000 miles and still going strong.
Thanks to the guys who posted tech help!
