Yes you can. He'll have to either grind the nubs off the OD of the G3 bushings or grind a small dimple in the subframe so the bushings fit. Not a big deal.

The only "cone" style I've seen are the front G3 bushings.

If he insists that he can't use them, he's either wrong or you have the wrong sfb. Plenty of people have used G3 rear bushings on all four corners, myself included.

I'm positive that I have 4 gen 3 rears made sure to check. Any negative side affects if he puts different ones in? Say the stock ones in front and gen 3 in the rears?

No safety side effects, but the stock front bushings are crap.

Why won't he just put the ones you already have in?

Use the gen 3 ones. Is this mechanic someone who is familiar with sho's? Almost sounds like the new guy at the parts counter when i tell him what I want....he keeps insisting the part i want isnt listed to fit my car. Finally the manager walks up, looks at me and tells the kid just to give me what I m asking for.

He knows his shit I would not take my car anywhere else I'm not sure what the problem is exactly as I am at work. He does know about the edges of the bushings needing to be ground off . And I also showed him the sticky about the subframe bushings ,but he said in a text that the front was more of a cone and a cup? Maybe wrong bushings put in it by PO? I'm not exactly sure will know more in a little while here. Thanks for the help.

The stock G2 front bushings look like a cone and a cup, which is probably causing the confusion. Just tell him to put them in. It's a fairly simple task...

sounds like chick-sales person at autozone.
They also say, that part doesn't exist or you car doesn't have that engine ,or your car doesn't exist.

Yep. Kinda funny. It gets really bad when you go in and get parts for a 3.0, a 3.2, a 96 SHO and then odds and ends from other cars. One time the guy kept asking me for the make and model of my car so he could find the parts....I kept telling him it wasnt gonna work that way.

try buying parts at BMW or Bentley dealer..., They all need your VIN, and most of them will tell you: "no Vin- Can't help".
Luckily I have account with Autozone, so most of these guys just order what I ask for or let me go and mix match parts myself.

These days a lot of busineses out there, hire people with little or no knowledge of the industry they are working in. I guess their bosses tell them to act smart when they obviously stupid, which makes this whole situation even more ridiculous.
I had one dealership calling me one time , telling me that I am approved. I kept asking: approved for what? there where a lot of different responses each time: money, car, car loan, good car loan, nice car, any car in our lot of Nissan, low rate car loan, etc. At the end that person just transferred me to her boss and he told me that if I am looking for buick, I better look at Buick dealership and he couldn't understand why I called Nissan. After that I couldn't hold myself and told him that I didn't call anyone for anything and I am not brainless.
