on the way to work this morning I had an opportunity to go WOT well the car starting stuttering like the boost was cutting out or something. The check engine light came on and flashed for about 30 seconds and went off. I haven't tried to replicate it nor will I. Any ideas?

You have a SHO, correct? What year? Knock sensor wiring would be the first thing to check. Esp. in the 2010-12 SHOs, they tend to be too close to the block and at high speed/enough vibration, they will chafe and eventually cause the PCM to start cutting power (false knock signals).

At work now, so can't pull right now. 2010 sho torrie 3 bar tune. Sounds a lot like it could be the knock sensor. Where is it located? Thanks guys

Knock sensor wires will be just slightly towards the front of and above the tstat housing....black & white wires that can rub on corner of engine block

Cool thanks. I'm praying for knock sensor. Any suggestions if fraying is noted?

Fraying would require a replacement I'd think...in pic you can see that 90* corner coming off block just below clip. That's where some of us had bare wires rubbing. Hard to see, but they are wrapped in electrical tape there.

Don't think I had an issue to start...just preventative maintenance as I was reading up on things to watch.

You really need to pull the code for us to have a better chance of diving into the right wormhole of possibilities.

Also, mileage on plugs and have they been regapped at any point? Especailly with a tune, 30,000 is probably too long and need to gap at .028, which is less that the factory and less than the newly purchased gap.

Buy yourself a blue tooth ODB II scanner. I got one off the sears website for 25 bucks shipped a couple months ago. You can get error codes and reset them instantly with an app like torque or similar. Best 25 bucks I've ever spent.

Check CAC?

Shuttering is the exact term the F150 guys talk about alot, they have the issue with build up in CAC most times.
