Ok I'm buying an 91 that has a 95 3.2 in it. I just replaced the radiator and the alt and battery. I went out to a back street today and wanted to see what it could do. When I hit secound about 5 1/2 to 6 grand it died for a sec like it was reset and kept going. I know it has a bad mount and can see that the ground cable is really close to the ac pully . I was wondering if maybe it has rubbed of the plastic couting on the cable and when i get into it, that it might be shorting out.

start with taking care of the things that you noticed, tie back the cable that looks to close. and check your codes, and records to see the last time any CPS and CID sensors have been replaced.

when i had CID sensor issues my car would drop out and then pick back up 1 second later. as it got worse, it would start to stall. before i changed that sensor, it had a hard time starting every once in a few tries.

my CPS got changed a few months later, the car started stalling out again while driving, and not starting when warm. i knew it was CPS time.
