All the REALLY matters is how fast those wheels move the car that is attached to them.

I don't think the SHO is underrated. The stock calibration is torque limited to 350 ft-lb, and from the stock dyno's I've seen a few factory stock SHO dyno's typically generating about 300 whp and 307 wtq, and taking a 14%-15% drivetrain loss, that comes to about 350 ft-lb. I'm seeing quite a few SHO dyno threads where someone with a tune and meth was getting 397 wtq and claiming it was over 500 ft-lb of torque, that's a little too optimistic there. But bottom line is that the factory tune is torque limited to about 350 ft-lb, while the F-150 EcoBoost 3.5 is torque limited to about 405 ft-lb (even tho it is advertised at 420 ft-lb, there might be another table that alters this torque limiter). The throttle plate actually doesn't open fully at wide open throttle once the limiter is hit, looking at my base datalogs, the throttle angle hit max 82 degrees and then suddenly closed down to about 43 degrees during a "WOT" 1-2, and 2-3 straight line run even though my accelerator pedal was pegged to the floor.

I believe with AWD, the drivetrain loss is much higher... in the 20%-25% range.

All the stock SHO dyno's I've encountered (for the 2010-12's at least, including my own) have all displayed a whp # in the 277-281 range.

Coinciding with this, the AWD drive train loss has been consistently in the 23-25% range.

Pony I had my 14 SHO with a "Pre-Tune" DYNO........advertised 365HP.....PRE tune 266HP/320lb Ft.....temp low 60s still air. After Livernois Stage 1..........322HP/392Lb. Ft......

After about 3 weeks of running stage 1 93 octane LMS no New DYNO but made 13.4 in 1/4 @106.8MPH........

Trying one more lap to beat 13.4 then calling it a night.
