Put Tux up on the dyno today just to get a basic idea of how the engine is doing output wise. Numbers seemed decent, drops off quickly around 6200 or so. Part of me thinks the mufflers are plugged up slightly from the cats falling apart. Only known mod to the car is a magnaflow Y-pipe that is currently catless until closer to emissions time, or when i get the oil burning issue taken care of.

Burns quite a bit of oil. Only time it really smokes out the exhaust is under high rpm, closed throttle. Improved quite a bit after tossing some Rislone engine treatment in and running it 800 miles or so towards end of OCI. I have a feeling I may be pulling the motor and freshening things up in the future however.
I know the motor mounts are terrible, have a set that I've reinforced to install when the weather warms a bit here.

Anywho, video of the dyno and sheet. :)

Looks good, pretty much right on for a stock SHO. The power drops off at 6200 because of the stock cams. Thats just how it is.

Back in the mid-late 90s, when Dynojets started to pop up for reasonable prices, we had a bunch of dyno days.

Most stock MTX SHOS were 182-188 WHP, with a few below and above. Highest stock MTX we saw was a guy from Indy who turned a 195 WHP on his '95 (one of the newest cars in the group at that time).

Don't recall any ATX #s, as the ******** at the time all had MTXs.

the smoke at higher rpms with the throttle closed is most likely oil being sucked down the valve stems, as after 20+ years most of these cars have bad valve stem seals at least on the exhaust side if not on all.
