Well, thank god I didn't run out and have the valve gaskets/Spark plug gaskets replaced (even though they will eventually have to be replaced).

quick recap:

Car was running like crap last week. Replace spark plugs, at which point I discover oil in the spark plug wells. Oil suctioned out, plugs replaced - car ran great... for about 1 day. It has since gone back to hesitating and overall lacking power (secondaries open up, nice sound - no go).

Onto today... I figured it was the same problem (oil in the plugs) so I pulled them all out tonight and they all looked fine (was no oil in the plug wells..yet). So I cleaned them up anyways...

Car still runs like crap..

Any suggestions?

sounds stupid, but did you clean the back plug wells also? Clean out the plug wires really well, I know my 94 atx still skipped sometimes, even when the wells were cleaned out.. GOOD LUCK!

It sounds as though the problem still lies in the plug/wires. Did you clean the wires completly? Maybe oil residue in the wires has diverted the spark path down the plug. Save up the $150-200 and replace the seals, plugs, and wires.

I did in fact clean the inside of the wells, as well as the spark plug wires (the actual connections, inside the wires are absolutely spotless!)

Another thing I noticed while driving last night was when it was really hesitating (lower rpm) my usual constant engine whine (over the stereo) was more of a high-pitched chirping.... so I think it HAS to be electrical?!?

luigisho, I wish it cost 150.00 - 200.00 ! I'm in Canada...

From Ford:
Valve cover gaskets 110.00
Spark plug gaskets 217.00
Spark Plug Wires 250.00

Can't you order them through AutoZone.com and FordAprtsNetwork.com or do they not ship to Canada?
