Started to replace the stock cd player and tape deck and it looks like someone at one time has spliced the 2 connectors together, I do not have the black connector for the speakers but have the gray connector for power to the headunit and it looks like they spliced everyrthing into that connector. What are the color codes so i can hook speaker wires from the headunit into the car speakers?

ok ended up figuring out what they had done. Problem i still have is poor sound from the drivers side speakers, I thought it was the speaker amp and that wasnt it so put an aftermarket headunit in it and unplugged the speaker amp and still have hardly any sound, is it possible for both the drivers side speakers to fail?

I lost sound in the drivers side befoe the headunit swap. I replaced the speaker amp thinking it may have burnt a channel out and that wasnt the issue and even with the stock amp by passed and a new headunit I still have the same issue.

Bad wiring? Take a drivers side speaker out and hook it directly to a receiver and see how it sounds. Thats just a weird issue.
