Steering Tight then Loose...

The steering on this 1993 ATX SHO as you hold in a turn get loose then tight loose then tight etc. Anyone know the deal on this?

are you mashing the accelerator and the steering is getting tight?

You 'need' to change your VSS. You mentioned you have simular tranny problems as another on this forum and now the loose steering. Your VSS is bad and can't detect your vehicle speed to tighten up the steering.

Edit: About your changing the atx to an mtx...it would be cheaper to buy an mtx with all the hassle you have to go through and parts.
