Was at the dealership today, they noted a recall for updating the steering (software fix, apparently) Apparently, the tech was getting an error hooking up to the computer, that it couldn't read the PCM. He thinks the tune I have installed is preventing it his system from working correctly. I wouldn't have thought the parameters updated by Livernois would have anything to do with the steering, or that the PCM would have anything to do with the steering for that matter, but I dunno. Any thoughts?

I talked with the service manager at my local dealer...they only updates the computer for the trans "fix"...they can't access your computer on a tune, must be stock tune for the update. I didn't let them do mine, didn't want to change the performance for what is probably just a change in strategy?

If you want the update done, best to return to stock tune, check the strategy after you get the car back, and if new strategy, send to LME for update. I think they said at one time, there are "bundles" of strategies they don't need to change the tune for, but they'll let you know.

if the trans reprogram is similar to the one for the F150 and the MKS, then I highly recommend you get it done. It makes especially the trucks shift a lot smoother and seem to have a lot more power because of the shift refinement.
