My 3 year 75,000 mile lease is up on my 2011 Kona Blue SHO. Currently have a hair under 77k miles. What a nice highway cruiser. What a nice overall car.
In the last 3 years I did have a issue or two with it, but still worth it. The Electric Fan failed 2 times. Once leaving me stranded in the middle of one of the busiest streets on Boston, rush hour traffic, in the rain, in the winter, on my way to a bruins game - was not happy. Car overheated, went into safe mode and I thought it was junk! But was fixed no problem. I also had an immature issue with the Hard Drive, and transfering media to it. So stoopid Ford!
The first winter I bought a set of 20" Blizzaks. Tires are great in the New England snow! But when there is no snow, it's like driving on Jello. So I still have the original tires since I would swap out the winters. So in 77000 miles I would have needed to buy new tires (or pay the lease company). Made perfect sense to get snow tires. There is still plenty of life on the original tires.
I also still have the original windshield wipers. Proof that with proper maintenance (simple cleaning of blades and windshield) factory wipers will work for 77k miles through any and all New England weather. They have small streaks - would likely replace this winter if I was keeping her.
Hopefully on thursday afternoon I will be picking up the 2015 BoB. No PP nor Adaptive cruise. But I don't care - it's a free company car. I'll put on the Blizzaks, weathertech floor mats and seat covers, and then i'll be off to drive another 75000 miles. Thanks for reading.:thankyou:
