Startup Problem

Hi there i have a 93 ATX and every time i have to start the car i need to rev the gas for a about 2-3 sec so it can stay on. if i do not rev the car, it will just die. the rpms go up fine, it just drops back down to 0 and dies unless i rev it for a couple seconds. any suggestions??

could this be caused by the cam sensor?

Check for engine codes.

Do the codes... Either the IAC, or MAF.. IMO
Cam sensor will screw your Tach. up, and cause random stalling..
