Hello, I have a 93 sho(atx). I replaced the starter about a year ago.Now when I try to start the car it doesnt do anything.Like I have it in gear and the safety switch wont let it start.I checked the switch and it seems to be good. I also had the starter checked at my local autozone and it turned out good. When I reinstalled the starter it spun and fired up.I shut it down and restarted it twice before it quit working again.I then replaced the ground cable because it looked pretty bad.Still nothing.I`m stumped here and could sure you some opinions.Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks,
Mike M

Try starting with the gearshift selecetor in NEUTRAL.

If that works consistently, troubleshoot the MLPS (Manual Lever Sensor Switch). The starter drive power is routed from the ignition switch to the starter motor via this switch in either PARK or NEUTRAL.

on the atx SHO, there is a cable that runs from the starter to a fuse panel on the driver side firewall.

The wire on my atx was broken, presumably from the hanging starter when the transmission was being serviced. This actually led to other problems with the shifting of the car....

I figured it out buy turn the key to the 'start' possition and wiggling the wire that leads off this fuse box...
