Today I went to start my car and of course...it wouldn't start. I could turn the ignition and the starter would click but it woudn't turn over. The alternator and battery are new(withing a month) and all the electronics are bright. There is also a strong smell of asbestos coming from the car, liking I was riding the clutch-which I wasn't...There was a wire loose near the starter which was a small flat electronic to electronic connection. I didn't look like it came from the starter. Could this be it?

Eventually I just push started the car and got home. I do need this problem fixed and I am thinking its either the solenoid or that wire

Any suggestions....?

That needs to be connected to the starter or the car will not start. Mostly all auto parts stores carry starters without that connector. Instead of the pig tail connector there is a nut.
