The starter in my SHO went out (made funny noise when startin for 2 days then no noise and no start the 3rd). I grabbed the starter off my extra engine and tried to install it but the top bolt hole(the one that you hook the ground to also) is stripped and won't hold. What should I do?? I tried to get a new longer bolt with a nut to put on the other end but the space is too small to hold the bolt while tightening it. I JB welded the bolt to the spot and I'm gonna let it dry overnight and give it a try. If that doesn't work, what else do I have for options???? HELP!!!! Oh ya, and I'm missin' a nut and can't find it. What if it fell in the starter hole into the flywheel casing? What's the worst that could happen? frown

Ughhh! If it went into there, you'll need to fish it out. Don't leave it there. Next, you might look into retapping the hole, if it isn't too bad.
