Hi SHO forum, I have a prob with my 95 atx. When I start it hot or cold it revs up quickly and immediatly stalls. If I hold the throttle open slightly it starts fine. It has also stalled at a light while I was waiting, and stalled on my wife while she was driving down a road. The repairs I have done to the car in the last 4 to 6 months are: timing belt, water pump, cam p.s., crank p.s.,plugs and wires oem,EGR port cleaning, EGR press. feedback sensor, 155 walbro fuel pump, TPS sensor. These probs have just started in the last week or so.Up until then it was running perfect.I havent pulled codes yet and I havent seen a CEL yet also.except after stalling. P.S.

I may want to sell this car, if anyones interested? 91k with all options, Drk green, JBL sound with CD,full leather(Tan),2nd owner, 96 brake upgrade, sway bar strut links, moonroof, Dunlop sport A2s. good looking NC car with no rust.

Thank you, Richard

Search the forum for idle reset procedure. You should start there, and definately pull the codes. Make sure the car is good and warm, or you'll get false out of range readings from some temperature sensors that could throw you off. What does it do before it stalls? Does it rev up and drop a few times before caling it quits?

Idle Air Bypass valve.
I concur. Sounds like a sticking IAB. You might try pulling it off and cleaning it. Try searching for
"IAB Cleaning" to get a procedure. Also check SHOtimes. If you can't find anything I'll type up a quick procedure.

Thanks for the input. Haydenm315 it fires up for less than a sec.or so. just a quick vrooom and then off like cutting the ignition.I checked other posts and was thinking it may be the crank pos. sensor causing the problem. I started to get ****** cause the thing is only a few months old.
Hopefully I can rule that out. Having to rip the front of the engine apart again so soon is going to torque me out shape!! Thanks Y'all, Richard
