Hey guys, i'm new here. I have my sho for maybe 2 years now and the rear turbo is starting to have oil on it :/ I am looking at the stage 2 turbo upgrade from Crpengineering since i'm from Quebec and it's not far. I did'nt find much information on stage 2 turbo but my goal for now is to keep the car as stock as possible. I wanna know if I absolutly need to upgrade the hpfp and intercooler like the stage 3 turbo? I don't really want to have more hp now but I know in the future i might mod the car a little bit more. Thanks in advance :)

You can upgrade turbos but your tuner will limit it to what the fuel system can provide. Will be about what stock can provide. The hpfp is a must and the IC is not required but adds to the overall package when you plan to turn it up. You will need plugs, 3 bar, tuner and a custom tune as base supports.

to add onto @76FoMoCo if you wish to stay stock as much - warranty etc - then just repair the oil supply line, or put in a rebuilt stock turbo, and I hate to say this but you should do both turbos at the same time. getting both stock turbos rebuilt properly and keep them stock - then replace the oil supply lines and inline filters, that would be the best strategy to stay stock and not walk down the path of intercooler replacement - upgrading the lpfp and hp fuel pumps. my 2 cents, if you fix one, address the other at the same time. That will be costly enough.

Can you not put a upgraded turbo in and allow the turbos to just be more efficient as they will be controlled by the ECU and map?

I think that is exactly his question. He needs turbos and wants to invest in Stage 2 for a future build. I don't know the answer but logic says the stock tune and hardware will still work. Boost and fuel are controlled in real-time based upon conditions so I would expect the stock tune to work. The turbos will just be more efficient (so just open WG sooner). I would pose the question to the Stage 2 supplier.

Yess exactly. I want to stay stock beceause I cant afford all the mod now. Hpfp is the same price as turbo rebuild stage 2 for me here. In the future I know I will mod the car. Thanks for the answer everyone :)

Good to hear. More interesting questions might be 1) can you get to where you want to go with stock turbos and 2) are you willing to invest in all of the other hardware needed to take advantage of Stage 2 turbos.
