Yea that's what I've been told...Just to be very clear. I'm not blaming SSI. At all. I have no proof it's their fault at all. My post was more of a cautionary tail for those looking into tuning..please don't get that mixed up with my blaming SSI. In fact I was really happy with their tunes.

I can upload the info the dealership posted if you guys want to see it..

Upload away! And if they gave you a truly new engine, I hope you have driven the necessary WOT-free 1,000 miles already to "break" it in, as per the OM.

Did they say what kind of warranty you have on the replacement long block? As usual, they don't say if the block is new, used, rebuilt, or remanufactured. Probably have to ask the service manager directly.

I have Leading Edge and have been dis-satisfied with the service and tune. On the 5th revision and still not happy. Additionally they moved limited up to 7100 and when I did a data pull I of course went that high. So Leading Edge for me is a No.

I am torn between 5 star, SSI and Livernois. The forums say Livernois while the Facebook group for SHO says SSI. 5 star I have on my Raptor and could not be happier.

All "issue" threads for SSI date back to 2012-2015 and mostly F150. So the question is why is there such a disparity between forums and Facbook on who is a "good tune"?

Because the SSI guys are anything but professional. Go read their posts on the FB Sho page and then decide if that's who you want tuning your car.
I could say the same for other tunes like Leading Edge. I am trying to get the whole picture of why SSI is not allowed here and other. I have heard oneside of the story and trying to hear from the other.

Basically comes to respect, they have non for other tuners. There are a couple on the EE facebook page that are nice, but if you dont "drink there Kool Aid" then you are nothing. Like the previous posted stated, read on Facebook and make your own opinion.

I am making my opinion but to do that I like to hear both sides of the story. The only conclusion thus far is SSI is the most polarized tuner I have ever seen in all my years of modding. You are either it is awesome and best think since sliced bread or SSI is the devil (water boy mama's voice).

I have talked to other people who have had one of the 3 tunes I mentioned. All have had positive experience all three and some who had one and switched for X reason. Still doing my HW but I have moved to Livernois or SSI.

I decided to go with SSI. Now before you grab torches and pitchforks hear me out.

1. As I already have a SCT tuner I did not need to buy a new tuners as with Livernois.
2. I spoke to owners with both tunes. Both were happy so from a owners point, that was a neutral factor.
3. I called and spoke to Shawn. He is very brash and direct which reminds me of a old biker LOL. However I asked him point blank all the issues raised on this and other forums about knock sensor, blown motors, transmissions, charging for updates and so on. He gave me direct answers about all these topics which line up with the research I had done.

Now time will tell if my decision was right but doing my own research of all the issues reported and results, SSI is what I am going to try.

To note, the only item that I can confirm and is universal is Shawn can be abrasive. Again think old biker or the stereotype cop personality. If you are not used to dealing with this type of personality then I would not recommend SSI based on that alone. As I am and with the other factors, I am trying it. I will report back how car is after install and update best I can for long term.

I would say if you don't want to deal with abrasive people who you are paying, you should get rid of your cars and take Uber or something, I don't understand why there are so many people in this industry who think its a good idea to treat there customers like idiots, especially when most of them might know a lot about something but no nothing about a lot of things. It is always a fight to get them to do what you want the way you want, and I have video to prove it, LOL. Just my two cents.

From what I've read about the SSi folk (someone else may chime in) us that yes, they in fact do have some very impressive ecoboost cars/trucks out there. However, the down side of that is, longevity.

From what I've been able to dig up and heard, is that their tunes basically run your vehicle on the brink of grenading to do so. Sure, it may hold up for a year, two, or forever...key word being "may" as there are posts upon posts of SSi failures.

Now, I'm not saying they are bad, or trying to steer people away from making the decision to go with them. I'm only saying that the benefits they may accomplish aren't worth the risk it may cause.
