All I can say...with all the other reputable companies out there, I wouldn't let that company touch my car EVER.

Yeah, I never said the best, just half truths aren't cool, and thats what was posted. Everyone thinks their tunes are the best, and I don't blame them, lots of money and trust put into a company to not believe that.

nooo you said one guy who wasn't me and one with blown trans were the only two you knew of... Here, getting me banned from everywhere, even though I don't advertise my tuner, or provoke, isn't going to change the facts, or make the truth go away.

Nor looking for attention, if that was the case, I would lay down all the facts about the devil tuner and how many of the thousands are now going to him, including some of the pretty big cats in the SHO world. But that would make me a target to get banned from here also

I actually don't know if they are active here, or were... I havn't been here long enough to know. My hope is they will come back and report after the projects are done.

I went with Unleashed (Torrie) this time. With my Mustang I went with Livernois and was Super Happy.

With the SHO I went with Unleashed. Super Happy with them. Can't wait to do the downpipes and the thermostat then the retune.

Both groups are awesome. Once I get around to it i will have Unleashed set my 15 F150 XLT FX4 3.5 EB with some goodies.

So i have an ssi tune and was running it for about 3 ish months. My taurus had about 60k on the motor and the motor blew. The cause was never definitive and ford replaced my motor for free. Im not saying that it was the tune but to have a motor blow with that low of mileage is kinda suspicious. the dealer said it looked like one of the pistons had been shot by a .22 because it had a hole blown trough it.

As i said i'm not 100% certain that it was the tune. However, after i got my motor replaced i contacted the guys at SSI and explained what happened to my car. I was told to provide a data log and that i would be getting a new tune. i provided everything they requested the same day. that was maybe 2 weeks ago. I haven't heard anything from these guys and ive called 3-4 times and sent several messages both directly to the technician and through the website to customer service. The fact that i'm not getting any sort of response from these guys all of a sudden is making me very irritated.

I don't want to be the first one to say time for a new tuner.... But....
Is Ssi using SCT hardware?
If so Unleashed uses the same so the tune files with lifetime updates/custom tunes is $200. Not a bad price assuming you already dropped a little coin on Ssi.

As I posted earlier, many tuners probably have the ability to crank up the boost and/or timing and make the car fast. There are only a few, such as Livernois or Unleashed that I would trust to know the ecoboost platform well enough to make SAFE and RELIABLE power.

Of course, we don't really know if the tune mentioned above had anything to do with a hole in the piston......

I agree. Its only speculation that the tune might have had a roll in blowing the motor.
